Johnny Dewayne Berry, 75, of Hanna, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021, at his home. Johnny was born on May 12, 1946, in Hanna, Oklahoma, the son of Everett Truman and Verneil Katherine (Robertson) Berry. He graduated from Hanna High School in 1964 and entered the Army Reserves. On July 14, 1967, Johnny married Sharon Kay Tolbert. They were happily married 54 years. Johnny worked on the Indian Nation Turnpike for 31 years, first as a mechanic and was then promoted to Superintendent. He was a farmer and rancher. Johnny was a 3rd Degree Master Mason and member of the Dustin Masonic Lodge and later a member of the Henryetta Masonic Lodge receiving his 50 year pin. Johnny loved fishing and hunting especially hunting quail. He enjoyed going out on his buggy checking cattle and watching the sun set with his wife. Survivors include: his wife, Sharon, of the home; son, Johnny Berry Jr. and wife Myra of Hanna; daughter, Charlotte Savage of Checotah; brothers, James Berry and wife Pat of Hanna and Gary Berry of Pryor; sisters, Glenda Waldrip and husband Bob of Moore and Diane Ward and husband Michael of Whitney, TX; grandchildren, Tyler Berry, Ashley, Allison, and Abby Savage and great granddaughter, Sydney Rae Berry. He is preceded in death by his parents, Everett & Verneil Berry, granddaughter, Emily Berry, sister-in-law, Margaret Berry and niece Kimberly Berry. Service information is listed below.
