John Lewis Deere

John Lewis Deere, 69, was born on September 4, 1947, to John and Lorraine Deere in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and entered into eternal rest on June 29, 2017 in Jurupa Valley, California. John lived with his parents and siblings in the town of Eufaula, Oklahoma and later Wewoka, Oklahoma. His mother, Lorraine passed away when he was 12. His siblings were then raised by his mother"s sisters, Grace Hawkins and Wynema Crowder. John remained at home with his father. John was met at heaven"s gate by his parents, John and Lorraine Deere, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, his great nephew, Trey Shawn and great niece, Madison Rain who preceded him in death. He attended school in Eufaula and then Wewoka, and graduated from Wewoka High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. After his service to our country, John lived in California working and attending college at Cerritos Junior College and the CSU Long Beach, CA. He worked several odd jobs while attending college. John worked for Hughes/Boeing almost 40 years. He loved his work as a production planner. John loved to drive his car to Oklahoma and Texas. He would visit family around his birthday and again at Christmas. At his home he planted different fruit trees. He would bring with him the fruit he had gathered from these trees. He loved to keep up with sports, attend nephew"s or niece"s games or attend a college football game with family. John is survived by his loving family: sister, Bettie Deere of Garland, Texas; nephew, Jeremy Williston of Garland, Texas; niece, Sunny Williston of Garland, Texas; great nieces Dana Nicole, Gracie Michelle, Stormy Lorraine and great nephew, Bison Owa Chitto. A message from his sister, Bettie Deere, "A special thanks to Boeing Coworkers, family and friends."
