John W Birdsall

 John W. Birdsall, 80, of Eufaula, Ok passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024 in McAlester, Oklahoma. John was born on March 24, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan to Chancey Birdsall and Marion Birdsall. He graduated from high school and joined the United States Army at Ft. Bliss in El Paso, Texas. John married Helen Grissom in 1965 and started a family of five children. He moved to Arkansas then to Texas. He was married three times. His last residence was in Long Town, Oklahoma where he shared a home with Laura Shepherd. John asked for salvation and was baptized in his home on September 17, 2023 by Chaplin Vernon Stone. John loved to joke around. One of his grandsons fondest memories is arm chair football, where he would sit in a chair and throw the football to EJ, since it was hard to stand and throw. 

 Survivors include his daughters Chris Craig, Leslie Birdsall Triplett, Dianne Birdsall and Lillie Birdsall; sons Kenneth Birdsall and John Birdsall Jr.; eight grandkids; and eight great grandkids. He is preceded in death by his parents, Chancey and Marion Birdsall.
