Bill was born on March 2, 1947 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Quinton and Norma Beth (Baker) Sunday. He graduated from Ft. Campbell High School in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky in 1965. Bill served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He received several medals while serving including: the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Parachute Badge, Humanitarian Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Marksman Badge Rifle ML6, and the Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal (1st Oak Leaf Cluster). On April 5, 2007, Bill married Kathryne Ann Duco Shelton in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Survivors include: his wife, Kathryne Shelton, of the home; son, Steve Sunday and wife, Jennifer, of Bixby, OK; daughters: Gayle Sunday; and Robin Sunday, of Wisconsin; brother, Bob Sunday and wife, Sonya, of Eufaula, OK; and six grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Quinton Sunday and Beth B. Jordan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Raiders at www.royallaoairborne.org
