Joe D January

Joe D. January, 91, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025, in Muskogee. Joe was born on October 15, 1933 in Row, Oklahoma, the son of Joseph David and Dona Elizabeth (Farris) January. He attended school in Row-Colcord graduating from Colcord. He attended Connors State College. Joe was inducted in the United States Army on November 3, 1955. He was honorably discharged on September 25, 1957. On February 25, 1963, Joe married Muriel Grider in Eufaula, Oklahoma. Joe worked as a truck driver all of his working life for over 50 years. He was an avid OU football fan.

Survivors include his son, Jeffrey January; daughters Tonya Venable and Dana Buie and husband Barry all of Eufaula; grandchildren Justen, Kiersten and husband Joshua, McKenna, Rachael, Summer and Sarah; and two great grandchildren, Raina and Nash. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Muriel, brothers Ed, Jiggs, Bill and Hershel and his sisters Tabby, Lou, Ted, Bud and Pete.
