Joe Emery Booze

June 20, 1933 — October 28, 2016

Joe was born on June 20, 1933, in Okfuskee County, Oklahoma the son of James Emery and Edith Eunice (Bench) Booze. He graduated from Bearden High School as Sr. Class President in 1952. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1953 serving in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1955. On May 30, 1957, Joe married Evelyn Renfroe in Haydenville, Oklahoma. They were happily married for fifty-nine years. Joe was an owner of an Industrial Laundry Facility. In 1978 he and nine others began the Emp Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). He attended the Institute of Industrial Launderers. He also attended the University of Maryland in 1982 receiving a special certificate awarded in administration. Joe was the President of Clean Services Inc. and the Oklahoma Association of Textile Services (OATS). After retirement, Joe & Evelyn moved from Enid to the Eufaula area so that they could indulge in their shared interests of fishing, dancing and playing music. They were in a few different bands that played local venues and community centers. One of Joe"s greatest joys was his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. There was nothing more important to him than his family. He approached everything in his life with a good heart and jovial attitude. Survivors include: his wife, Evelyn, of the home; his daughters, Sandra (Booze) Parker of Phoenix and Robbin (Booze) Trojanowski and husband Jimmy of Houston; his son, Joe Michael Booze of Enid; a brother, Gary Booze and wife Kathy of Glenpool; his sisters, Eva June Dearman of Hayfork, California, Norma Jean Dearman of Hayfork, California, Pat Morphis and husband David of Okemah and Lois Tiger and husband Dean of Broken Arrow; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim & Edith Booze.
