Joanna B. Hamilton

Joanna B. Hamilton, 88, passed away on December 13, 2015 in Little Elm, Texas. Joanna was born on November 25, 1927 in Durant, Oklahoma to Basil and Rosa (Shecotah) Reese. She attended and graduated from Durant High School in 1945. Joanna also attended Southeastern State University in Durant from 1945-1946. On October 4, 1946, she married Paul Hamilton in Denison, Texas. They were happily married for over sixty-nine years. Joanna was a member of the St. Paul"s Episcopal Church in Prosper, Texas. Survivors include: her husband, Paul Hamilton, of the home; sons: Mike Hamilton, of Aubrey, TX; Steve Hamilton, of Monument, CO; sister, Lenora Cathey, of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren: Chris Hamilton, Amy Shaftner, Stephanie Hamilton Nilson, and Meghan Ringstrom; and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Basil and Rosa Reese; and one sister, Mozelle Reese.
