JoAnn Booth, 88, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on February 14, 2025. Born on December 3, 1936, in Choctaw, Oklahoma, JoAnn was the cherished daughter of Joseph Alton and Annabelle (Mays) Norton. On September 14, 1975, she united in marriage with Kenneth Dale Booth, and together they shared 49 wonderful years filled with love and happiness.
JoAnn had a successful career as a claims adjuster for Aetna Insurance Company, dedicating over 20 years to her profession. In her leisure time, she found joy in fishing, boating, and engaging in crossword puzzles, activities that highlighted her adventurous spirit and keen intellect.
JoAnn is survived by her beloved husband, Kenneth, along with her sons Jerry Nealy and his wife Brenda of Flower Mound, Texas, and Kenny Booth and his wife Shana of Stratford, Oklahoma; daughters Kathy Stetler and her husband Jimmy of Eufaula, Oklahoma, and Kym Tate with Harry Peace of Moore, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her brothers Jim Norton and wife Ruby of Belton, Texas, and Jack Norton and wife Darla of Edmond, Oklahoma; sister Barbara Precure and husband James of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and sister-in-law Cathie Norton of Choctaw, Oklahoma. JoAnn was a proud grandmother to grandchildren, Wesley & Mandi Booth of Mustang, Kody & Taylor Booth of Stratford, Creede Booth of, Stratford, Anna Lee of Norman, Bobby Lee & Annina Collier Lee of Jenks, Erica Bennett of Temple, Texas, Carla Mae Nealy and Sandy Baker of Denton, Texas, JJ Nealy of Flower Mound Texas, Kya Tate of Edmond and Rusty Tate of Moore; great-grandchildren Makenna, Aubri and Kason Booth, Kix, Kolt and Klay Booth, Katy Peterson, Estelle Collier-Lee, Rocco Lee, Alexa Guerra & Chance, Zachary Bracco & Brynne, Andy Nealy & Casey, Olivia Baker and Bailey, Jacob Adams, Joshua Peace and Jaxten Peace and great-great-grandchildren Benny Nealy, OliverGuerra, Charlotte Jean Guerra, and Averie Guerra.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Gordon Norton, who remain in memory and spirit.
JoAnn's legacy of love and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
