Jo Ann Triplett

Jo Ann Triplett, 82, of Checotah, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Eastar Health Systems. Jo Ann was born on June 23, 1933, in Kinta, Oklahoma the daughter of Troy Homer and Ruby Marie (Farrell) Cummings. She graduated from Kinta High School. Jo Ann worked for Southwestern Bell for 5 years from 1952-1956. On February 26, 1954, JoAnn married Hubert Columbus Triplett in McAlester, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker living in Rolling Oaks on Lake Eufaula in Checotah, OK for the past 22 years. Prior to moving to Oklahoma, she and Hubert lived in Hickory, North Carolina. She was a member of the North Fork Baptist Church. Survivors include: her husband, Hubert, of the home; two of her three sons, Michael and Jeff; her brother, Tommy Wayne and her sister Patricia Maxine Southern; her grandchildren, Dustin, Kassie, Kelly and Brandi and three great grandchildren, Ashlyn Shea, Brooklyn Renee and Calin Isaac. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Mark, and a sister, (Mary) Janette Hendrix.
