Jimmy Parker

Jimmy was born on August 8, 1927 in Lenna, Oklahoma to James Lee and Nerva (Haden) Parker. He attended school at Lenna. At the age of nineteen, he moved to California to work in the Grocery Business. On August 28, 1952, Jimmy married Grace Marie Williams in Armona, California. They moved back to Lenna in 1955, where he worked in the oilfield as an x-ray technician. Jimmy also worked on the Alaska pipeline. He was a rancher and raised watermelons. Jimmy lived all but ten years of his life in Lenna, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Lenna Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Grace Marie Parker, of the home; sons: Rod Parker and wife, Mary; Bryan Parker and wife, Cheryl; Donald Parker and wife, Michelle; and Bradley Parker; daughter, Becky Clanton, all of Lenna, OK; sisters: Beulah Phelps, of Tulsa, OK; and Dollie Jackson, of Stigler, OK; sister in-law, Saundra Parker, of Muskogee, OK; brother in-law, Kenneth Gould, of Lexington, OK; eleven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe and Kenneth; and sisters, Maple Lee, Viola, and Virginia.
