Jerry Roger Lewis

Jerry Roger Lewis, 57, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022, at his home with family by his side. Jerry was born on January 4, 1965, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, the son of Barbara (Deere) Lena and Jeremiah Lewis. Jerry graduated from Eufaula High School class of 1983. He received his EMT certification from Wes Watkins Vo Tech. He worked for the City of Checotah for 29 years, retiring as EMS Director on March 10, 2022. He also worked for Okmulgee County EMS for 14 years. He was a member of the Emergency Medical Services Authority, National Registry of Emergency Services, and the Oklahoma Municipal League. He was honored by the National Registry of Emergency for 20 and 30 years of Service. He was also honored by the Oklahoma Municipal League for 25 years of service to the City of Checotah in 2019. Jerry also worked for Contemporary Services Corporation out of Oklahoma City as security for all University of Oklahoma sports events. He was a member of the North Fork Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters, Chassidy Ramsey of Durant, Hope Harrington of Wilburton, Lexy Lewis and Lindsey Lewis of Warner; son, James Lewis of Eufaula; brothers, Michael Lewis and wife Stephanie of Eufaula, Lance and wife Heather of Eufaula; grandchildren, Tristan Ramsey and Apollo Bish. he is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Lena and his father Jeremiah Lewis.
