Jerry Lee Shepperd

Jerry Lee Shepperd, 76, of Eufaula, passed away on August 13, 2020 at his home. Jerry was born on August 25, 1943 in Minco, Oklahoma to Roscoe and Geneva Maxine (Howe) Shepperd. He graduated from Minco High School in 1961. On March 26, 1962, Jerry married Wanda Lee Yvonne Frye in Chickasha, Oklahoma. They were happily married for fifty-eight years and three children were born to this union. He was a Volunteer Fire Fighter in Minco for 12 1/2 years and #9 Fire Department for several years. He worked for the Oklahoma Natural Gas for thirty-six years rising to the Surpervisor position. Jerry was a member of the Minco Assembly of God Church, Moore Church of God, and then the Eufaula First Free Will Baptist Church, where he also served as deacon at each for a total of forty years. In May 2010, Jerry became an Ordained Minister and filled in at numerous churches. He enjoyed fishing, feeding, and watching the deer. Jerry especially loved family gatherings and spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. Survivors include: his wife, Wanda Shepperd, of the home; daughters: Carol Morse and husband, Scott, of Minco, OK; Debbie Davis and husband, Clay, of Minco, OK; and Sheila Hunt and husband, Kreg, of Eufaula, OK; brothers: Larry Shepperd and Don Shepperd; sisters: Joyce Shepperd and Zelma McMahon; three grandchildren: Dustin Curlee, Erica Stubbs, and Blake Davis; and seven great grandchildren: Kasandra, Kevin, Shyann, Luke, Kaden, Kenzlee, and Kolton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Maxine Shepperd; brothers: Eugene and Vern Shepperd; and sisters: Anita Brown and Connie McFarland.
