Jerry Don Nichols

Jerry Don Nichols, 66, of Muskogee, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019 at the St. Francis Hospital of Muskogee. Jerry was born on September 1, 1953, the son of Nathaniel Pete and Lorine Annette (Collins) Nichols. He graduated from high school and entered the Army National Guard. He served six years in the McAlester National Guard as an MP. Jerry then worked as a sports writer for the Indian Journal for twenty-nine years. He married Evelyn Jane Belcher and two children were born to this union, Andradia and Richard. He then married Margaret Ann Crabtree and to this union three children were born, Cecil, Orlando, Jerry, Jr. He later had two more children, Jeremy and Jazriell. Jerry is survived by his children, Andradia Newton and husband Frank of Muskogee, OK, Richard Nichols and wife Tara of Claremore, OK, Cecil Crabtree of El Paso, TX, Jerry Nichols, Jr. and wife Summer of Broken Arrow, OK, Jazriell Watts of Oklahoma City, OK, and Jeremy Thomas and wife Ashley of Florida; his daughter-in-law, Christin Nichols of Eufaula, OK; his siblings, Charles Jones and wife Evelyn of Oklahoma City, OK, Perry Lee Nichols of Eufaula, OK, Patricia Ann Mundy of Eufaula, OK, Olivia Nichols of Omaha, NE, Loretta Nichols of Las Vegas, NV, Michael Nichols and wife Ellen of Eufaula, OK Donna Sue Anderson of Eufaula, OK and Sandra Sonaggera and husband Tom of Eufaula, OK; sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wives, Evelyn and Margaret, one son, Orlando Crabtree and one brother, Nathaniel.
