Jeremy Bryant Herndon

May 1, 1982 — February 20, 2018

Jeremy Bryant Herndon, 35, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at the Mercy Hospital of Rogers, Arkansas. He was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma the son of Karl Friedriech and Lisa Carol (McCutchan) Herndon. He attended Checotah High School and later graduated from high school in Hundred, West Virginia in 2000. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on January 2, 2002. While in the Air Force, Jeremy served as a firefighter. After his honorable discharge on January 1, 2006, Jeremy worked as a welder and pipeliner for PACE in Western, Oklahoma. He also worked for ACE Glass for six months. He enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting. Survivors include: his father, Karl Herndon of Checotah; mother, Lisa McCutchan, of Checotah; his fiance, Lisa Gilley and her children, Nate Gilley, Jr. and Jayde Gilley; his sons, Jordan Herndon, Cole Herndon both of Fairview, West Virginia and Haygen Herndon of Porum; his brother, Houston Herndon of Checotah; his sister, Karlie Herndon of Eufaula; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joe and Carol Church; his grandfather, Albert McCutchan; his paternal grandfather, Edward Avery Herndon and a cousin, Terry Herndon.
