Jeremiah Lewis, 84, of Eufaula, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at the Eufaula Manor Nursing Home. Jeremiah was born on October 14, 1935, in Eufaula, Oklahoma the son of Frank and Elizabeth (Narcomey) Lewis. He attended Eufaula High School. He then joined the United States Army on December 8, 1954. He served during the Korean War and received the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged on November 30, 1956. Jeremiah was employed at the Indian Health Services for thirty-five years. Jeremiah was a member of the Eufaula VFW and the Muskogee (Creek) Nation Honor Guard. He was a member of the West Eufaula Indian Baptist Church. One of Jeremiah's favorite things to do was to go to auctions. His whole world was his three boys and his grandchildren. Survivors include: his sons, Jerry Lewis, Michael Lewis and wife Stephanie and Lance Lewis and wife Heather; his brother, Clifford Lewis of Edmond; his sisters, Christine McIntosh-Breeden of Eufaula, Shirlene Lewis-Ade of Wetumka, Augustine Lewis-Williams of Muskogee and Remona Hill of Nashville, Illinois; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Phillip Lewis and a sister, Frankie Carr.
