Jena Vayve Loma

Jena Vayve (Phillips) Loma, 63, of Eufaula, passed away on June 8, 2016 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Jena V. Phillips was born on August 15, 1952 in Lenna, Oklahoma to Daniel and Mina (Harjo) Phillips, Jr. She attended Stidham Grade School and later graduated from Eufaula High School in 1970. Jena graduated from Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton, Oklahoma in 1972 with an Associate"s Degree in Business Administration. Jena then attended East Central State University in Ada, Oklahoma. On August 26, 1972, she and Kenneth R. Loma were married at Little Coweta Indian Baptist Church in Lenna, Oklahoma. Their daughter, Chana D. Loma was born on January 7, 1973. Jena began her federal career working summers for the Solicitor"s Office in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Jena began working full time with the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Muskogee, Oklahoma until her retirement. She loved fishing, bowling, and playing softball and volleyball before her health began to fail. She especially enjoyed being with her nieces and nephews, listening to events, and activities in their lives. Survivors include: her husband, Kenneth R. Loma, of the home; her mother, Mina Phillips, of Lenna, OK; sisters: Ramona J. (Phillips) Bedford, of Eufaula, OK; Twanna S. (Phillips) Deere and Amanda J. (Phillips) Middleton, of Lenna, OK; brothers in-law: Edward Loma, of Smithville, OK; Wayne Anna, of Wright City, OK; Soloman Anna, Jr., Clayton Anna; Bill Anna; and Jay Anna, of Broken Bow, OK; sisters in-law: Quannie Austin, Oleda Duckett, Resa Alderete, of Broken Bow, OK; Benita Torres, of Albion, OK, and Sharitha Borjas, of TX. She was preceded in death by her father, Reverend Daniel Phillips, Jr.; her daughter, Chana Danielle Loma; and her great niece, Camdyn Middleton; brothers in-law: Daniel D. Deere and Jackey L. Bedford; and mother in-law, Sara J. Obe.
