Jearold was born on May 22, 1945 in Moody, Missouri to Cordis and Alma (Gibson) Dickerson. He graduated from Canadian High School in 1963. Jearold attended Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton for one year, before working on a farm helping a family. He worked as a farmer, landscaper, and a tree trimmer. On February 1, 2002, Jearold married Linda Jean Smith. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include: his wife, Linda Jean Stephens, of the home; step sons: Joe Lewis, of Eufaula; Tommy Lewis, of Jonesboro, AR; Timothy Grayson, of Skiatook; Johnathan Grayson, of Tulsa; and Glenwood Grayson, of Wewoka; step daughters: Jeanie Mahmoud; Doha Qatar; and Melissa Barnett, of Batesville, AR; brother, Charles Dickerson, of Braymer, MO; sisters: Norma Jean Bradford, of Porterville, CA; and Shirley Ardrey, of Gladstone, MO; eighteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cordis and Alma Dickerson; adoptive parents, W.A. and Alta Stephens; and two brothers: Jimmy Dickerson; and William Stephens, Jr.
