Jean Pate Mathews

Jean was born on July 16, 1927 in Wingate, Texas to Brooks and Ophelia (Poe) Bartee. On August 17, 1946, she married Roy Leon Pate, who preceded her in death in 1976. Jean worked as a car hop for several years and an office manager at Scott Rice in Tulsa for over twenty years. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: five sons: Ronald Pate, of Shawnee, OK; Lee Pate, of San Antonio, TX; Donald Pate, of Eufaula, OK; Larry Pate, of Houston, TX; and Michael Pate, of Pryor, OK; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by parents, Brooks and Ophelia Bartee; her children"s father, Roy Leon Pate; one brother, Doyle Bartee; and one sister, Zelda Rickman.
