J.B. Gentry

J.B. was born on November 17, 1935, in Meeker, Oklahoma the son of Benjamin Franklin and Mary Vera (Martin) Gentry. He attended Meeker Public Schools. On October 19, 1955, J.B. married Mary Lee Trammell in Prague, Oklahoma. He and Mary lived in Prague until 1968 when they moved to Thomas, Oklahoma. J.B. worked in the oilfield all over Oklahoma. He retired in 1996 and moved to Eufaula. He loved woodworking and gardening. Survivors include: his son, Mike Gentry and wife Teresa and their daughter, Brandy, of Eufaula; his daughter Debby Schroeder and husband Jerald, of Eufaula and their children, Michael and wife Lynnette of Edmond, Kristel of Kingfisher and Jason of Shawnee; his daughter, Gail Christensen and her husband Clay and daughter Abbey of Edmond, their children, Erica and husband Jonathan of Edmond, Kimmy and husband Robby also of Edmond; his daughter, Jerilyn Spitz and husband Clint and their children, Caitlin and Christian of Overland Park, Kansas; a sister, Sue Green and husband Richard of Meeker; a sister, Skeet Gouker of California; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary, on June 26, 2014, a granddaughter, Kelsey, his brothers, Clifford, Jimmy, Donald and Eugene and his sisters, Wilma, Janie and Della.
