Jan Mcdonald

Mrs. Jan McDonald, 79 year old McIntosh County resident, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, May 2, 2020. She was born February 6, 1941, to Jess Hubert and Edna Margaret (Cates) Hammer. Mrs. Jan grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Putnam High School in 1959. She met the love of her life, Jerry Wesley McDonald, and married on March 28, 1958. She was a faithful pastor's wife in Adams, OK, Earlsboro, OK and Oklahoma City, OK before they moved to Eufaula, OK to start the Calvary Baptist Church and Calvary Boys' Ranch in 1977 where she has faithfully served for 43 years. God called Bro. Jerry home March 31, 2012. She was a faithful, Godly wife who loved her husband. She enjoyed the Boys' Ranch, singing, shopping, hunting, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include: her son, Jerry McDonald, Jr. and wife Jenny of Eufaula; her daughters, Martha Bahre and husband David of Eufaula and Vicki Porter and husband Wayne of Ridgecrest, California; her grandchildren, Jennifer Collins and husband Cambrin, Jana Hays and husband Spencer, Jamie Graham and husband Brandon, Joanna Brown and husband Andrew, Julie Decker and husband Andrew, Jared Porter and wife Hannah, David "Rusty" Bahre, Jeremiah Bahre and Abigail Bahre; her great grandchildren, Luke, Layne, and Langston Collins, Logan, Reece, and Taylor Hays, Colton, Callie, and Cason Graham, Jake, Melody and Henry Brown and Wesley, Jason and Jaxon Porter. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry W. McDonald, Sr., her parents, Jess and Edna Hammer; brother, Gene Hammer and sister, Suzanne Hammer and a grandson, Wesley Porter.
