James Smith, Jr., 66, of Eufaula, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at the McAlester Regional Health Center in McAlester, Oklahoma. James was born on August 3, 1952 in Clinton, Oklahoma to James Smith Sr. and Rachel (Meeley) Smith. James graduated from Pauls Valley High School in 1970. In 1997, James married Kathy in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the Police Chaplain's office. He enlisted and served in the United States Army. James graduated from Eastern in 2001 with an Associate's in Theater Arts. He was in several movies, including: Doe Boy, North and South, and Outdoor Theater Tsi-La-Gi. James was an actor, writer, and a Civil War and Old West reenactor. He was a jokester and loved to laugh. James also liked fishing and spending time with friends. James enjoyed spending time at the Senior Center in Crowder and with the Choctaw Tribe. Survivors include: his wife, Kathy Smith, of the home; son, James Albert Smith, of Shawnee, OK; daughters, Mona Smith, of Sapulpa, OK, and Jenelle Smith, of Shawnee, OK; sisters, Clare, of TX, Verna, of Pauls Valley, OK, and Esther, of Oklahoma CIty, OK; and six grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Rachel Smith; brothers, Levester and Roger Smith; and a sister, Rosemary.
