James Larry Ellis

James Larry Ellis, 73, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021, at the St. Francis Hospital of Tulsa. James was born on May 31, 1948, in Aurora, Missouri, the son of Sterling and Alverta Ellis. Larry spent his early life between Aurora, MO and Centerville, TX. On July 20, 1966, Larry joined the US Air Force and traveled the world living in South Korea, Turkey, Germany and the United Kingdom. On May 8, 1971, James married Lorraine Helga Jones in Denver, Colorado. They were happily married for fifty years. Survivors include: his wife, Lorraine, of the home; daughters, Vicki Anne Smith and husband Nathan of Port Angeles, WA, Andrea Suzanne Ellis of Tulsa and Gina Leigh Essick of Springfield, MO; son, Christopher James Ellis and wife Lindsey of Checotah; sisters, Debra Wrinkle and Carol Phipps both of Aurora, MO; brothers, David Ellis of Holiday Island, AR and Billy Ellis of Jewett, TX; and grandchildren, Morgan Brown of Port Angeles, WA and Marshall Essick of Springfield, MO.
