James Edmund Myers, 69, of Eufaula passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at his home. He was born on December 11, 1942, in Commerce, Oklahoma the son of Carl William and Lillian Marie (Masiongale) Myers. James graduated from Commerce High School in Commerce, Oklahoma. He enlisted in the U.S. Army. He then attended beauty college classes at NEO A & M in Miami and became a licensed beautician in Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona and Missouri. He was a Master Stylist and won many awards. James was the owner of Edmund Hair Sculpture in Miami, Oklahoma and Mesquite, Texas. He also worked as a Master Stylist for J.C. Penney’s. James served as Vice President for the Cosmetology Association of Oklahoma. Survivors include: his brother, Carl W. Myers of Quinlan, Texas; his sister, Alice Marie Childress of Eufaula; his nieces, Brenda Wilson and Phyllis Carol Marshall; his nephews, Terry Lee Daniels, Richard Thomas and Marcus Lucas Childress; his grand nieces, Sarah Parsons, Maria Daniels, Bliss Daniels and Amanda Wilson; and his grand nephews, Darrell K. Daniels, Adam Wilson, Aaron Wilson and Jeremy Daniels. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Lillian Myers, his sister, Virginia T. Holaday, his brother-in-law, Mark E. Childress, a niece, Diana Marie Daniels and a nephew, J. Kevin Daniels.
