Howard Eugene Montgomery, 90, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020, at his home. Howard was born on April 23, 1930 in Eufaula, the son of Everitt and Manerva Jane (Foster) Montgomery. He graduated from Eufaula High School and received his Associates Degree in Welding from Oklahoma City University. In 1950, Howard enlisted in the United States Army serving in the 45th Infantry division in the Korean War from 1950-1952. On July 25, 1952, Howard married Wanda Lee Burns. They were happily married for sixty-eight years. Howard worked as a welder for American Trailers. He was a member of the Eufaula First Church of God where he served as the Superintendent. Survivors include: his wife, Wanda, of the home; his daughter, Monda Henderson and fiance Paul Whitworth of Eufaula, OK; his brothers, Donald Montgomery and wife Kem of Salina, KS and Bob Montgomery and wife Linda of Checotah, OK; his sister, Shirley Proe and husband Wayne of Eufaula, OK; grandchildren Brandon King and wife Tiffany and Andy King and wife Tonia and great grandchildren, Dalton, Ashley, Emma, Jaedyn, Teagen, Rylee and Audren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Thomas, Earl, John, and James, and his sisters, Opal Weeks, Betty Westmoreland and Mary Long.
