Homer James Mcmurdy

Homer James McMurdy, 83, of Eufaula, passed away on August 23, 2020 at his home. Homer was born on March 5, 1937 in Barkeyville, PA to Homer and Verna May (Barton) McMurdy. He served in the United States Air Force from 1954 - 1957. Homer served during the Korean War and received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He worked as a truck driver. Survivors include: his son, Donald McMurdy; daughters: Wanda Emerick, Gwen Bare, and Jackie McMurdy; brother, Robert "Bob" McMurdy; sisters: Shirley Gartner, Carol Ross, and Dixie Frabasilio; seven grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Verna McMurdy and two brothers: Martin and Jack McMurdy. Inurnment will be at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery on Thursday, August 27, 2020.
