Helen Faye Daniel

Helen Faye Daniel, 84, of Muskogee, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023, at the St. Francis Hospital of Tulsa. Faye was born on July 30, 1939, in Stidham, Oklahoma, the daughter of William Thomas and Bessie Lee (Adams) Flud. She married Edward Daniel on September 24, 1961 in Gary, Indiana. Faye gave birth to and raised five children. Faye lived in several locations throughout her life including Stidham, Eufaula and Muskogee, Oklahoma, Sacramento, California and Gary, Indiana.

Faye worked as a CNA at the Baptist Hospital in Muskogee

She worked as a welder at Siemens Mattress Company in Indiana in the mid to late 60's. After returning home to Oklahoma, Faye worked as cook at several different nursing homes. She ended her career as the Dietary Supervisor at the Adult Living Center where she prided herself in making sure she gave her residents the best meals possible. The residents always knew when Faye didn't cook and they made sure to complain.

Faye held strong in her Christian beliefs. She also lived them. She was kind to everyone she met and never treated anyone with unkindness. She would help anyone that needed it. She loved God and loved to sing gospel songs out of old hymnals with her children and parents.

Faye enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She took her children camping and spent lots of time on Lake Eufaula. Faye literally traveled the world to be with her kids, spending lots of time in Mississippi, Tennessee, Florida and Germany. Faye loved to crochet and took great pride in the fact that she made all of her kids and grandchildren a personalized blanket. Faye also loved to play solitaire.

Survivors include: her daughters, Belinda Sue Burk of Chouteau, Oklahoma and Ladonna Gail Gray of Webbers Falls, Oklahoma; sons, Bryan Avery Daniel Bevil of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Alan Leroy Daniel of Lenapah, Oklahoma and Lamar Eugene Daniel of Langley, Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren; 25 great great grandchildren and a sister Lorene Pogue of Indiana. She is preceded in death by her parents, twin sister, Hazel Mae Flud., and numerous brothers and sisters.
