Harold Newton

Harold Wayne Newton. 84, of Eufaula, passed away on April 25, 2021 at his home. Harold was born on May 9, 1936 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Artie and Willie (Jones) Newton. He attended school at Eufaula High School. On May 17, 1967, Harold married Katie Mae Flud. They were happily married for fifty-three years. He worked as an electrician for three years and later as a carpenter for many years. Harold attended the Stidham Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool and darts. Harold also like to dance and garden. He was known for his homegrown big tomatoes. Survivors include: his wife, Katie Newton, of the home; sons: Wesley Whaley, of Keota; Tony Newton and Harold Wayne Newton, Jr., both of Eufaula; daughters: Pamela Sturgeon, of Eufaula; Fonda Kay, of Texas, and Tonya; brothers: JW Newton and James Newton, both of Eufaula; sisters: Betty Jean Eason, of Wilburton; Bonnie Barnett and sister in-law, Dean Newton, both of Eufaula; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Fines Sturgeon; five brothers, and one sister.
