Gregory Ray Bauman

March 13, 1953 — May 6, 2021

Gregory Ray Bauman, 68, left this world to join many of his fellow brothers in arms on May 6, 2021, after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was born on March 13, 1953, in Hayward, California, the son of Reuben Lester and Ruth Edna (Ruby) Bauman. Growing up on a farm in North Dakota he never lost his love of old tractors. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on March 31, 1970 in Oakland, California. He served a distinguished term that included a tour of Vietnam with many awards and commendations. After leaving the military he accepted a position with the US Postal Service from which he had recently retired. His retirement years found him enjoying the things he loved the most, Harley Motorcycles and his fellow members in the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle club, of which he was a 30 year member. His love of the outdoors found him most weekends, riding his bike, camping, fishing or spending time with his family. He leaves behind his mother, Ruth Anderson of North Dakota; his father, Reuben Bauman of North Dakota; a son, Marcus Bauman of North Dakota; a daughter, Charlene Kucish and husband Jeremy of Eufaula, OK; his brothers, Rick Bauman of California and Reuben Jr. of California; his sister, Debbie of Missouri; and a the apple of his eye, his granddaughter, Emma. Greg was a good and moral man who loved family, friends and country. He will be missed by all who knew him.
