**Obituary for Gregory L. Poole**

Gregory L. Poole, 81, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on December 29, 2024. Born on October 22, 1943, in Baytown, Texas, he was the son of Henry Lamoyne Poole and Audie Bee Adami (Schroeder). Gregory was a proud graduate of Paschal High School in Fort Worth, Texas in 1961.

He shared a loving marriage with Melody Ann Hunt for 48 wonderful years, creating a life filled with cherished memories. Gregory had a passion for hunting, woodworking, roller skating and sports activities that brought him joy throughout his life. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Melody; their daughters, Lorie Story and Lisa Layton, along with her husband Gary, all of Burleson, Texas; grandchildren Alyssa Klump and her husband Wayne of Renton, Washington, Sarah Zaby and her husband Luke of Burleson, Texas, and Alex Layton and his wife Jennifer of Burleson, Texas; great-grandchildren Tristen Story, Declan Klump, and Rynn Layton; as well as a host of other family and friends who will dearly miss him. He is preceded in death by his parents and a son in law, Brian Story.

Gregory's legacy of love and kindness will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.
