Gloria Jean Pendley

Gloria Jean Pendley, 82, of Beggs, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023 at her home. Gloria was born on November 11, 1940 in Bakersfield, California to Ernest Jesse and Lizabeth Pauline (Morrison) Best. She attended school in Hanna, Oklahoma. On August 25, 1958, Gloria married James William Pendley. They were happily married for almost thirty-four years before he preceded her in death in May 1992. She worked for twenty years as a baker at Bama Pies from 1976 until 1996. Gloria also took care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed working in the garden with her flowers. Gloria was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: her children: Brenda J. Kropat, of Tomball, TX; Linda K. Taylor, of Tulsa, OK; Sherry L. Sprattler, of Tulsa, OK; and Dakota J. Hamilton, of Beggs, OK; six grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren; brothers: Chester H. Best, of Tomball, TX and Ernest G. Best and wife Bennie, of Eufaula, OK; and sister, Claudette Barnes, of Toppenish, WA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Lizabeth Best (Spears).
