Glenn was born on September 9, 1927, in Stidham, Oklahoma the son of Samuel Lewis and Ollie Caroline (Estes) Pittman. He graduated as class president from Stidham High School in 1946. He received his Master Degree in Education from Northeastern State University. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served during World War II. On May 25, 1951, Glenn married Eva Mae Kennedy in Fort Smith, Arkansas. They were happily married for sixty-four years. Glenn worked as a teacher for over forty years at Liberty Mounds and Oktaha and served as Principal of Canadian schools. He was a member of the Eufaula Masonic Lodge and was the Vice Mayor of Eufaula for 18 years. Survivors include: his wife, Eva, of the home and his sister, Charlotte Turner of Eufaula, OK; sister in-law, Bonnie Berry, of Eufaula, OK; niece, Donna Mock and husband, John, of Eufaula, OK; nephew, Willard Berry, Jr. and wife, Yvonne, of Idaho Falls, ID; grand nieces and nephews: Kimberly, Holly, Heather, Heidi, David, Michael, and Josh; and a large host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Lucille Hallum, Ramona Johnson, Estes McIntosh and Nadine Buck; his brothers, Walter Langston Pittman, Lincoln "Pete" Pittman and Bill Pittman.
