Gilbert Lawrence Gatlin

Gilbert Gatlin, 77, of Eufaula, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the St. John Hospital in Tulsa. Gilbert was born on December 25, 1937, in Vivian, Oklahoma the son of Bryce Cleburn and Mildred Pauline (Gawf) Gatlin. He graduated from Eufaula High School in 1957 and served in the National Guard. He owned and operated the BBQ Grub in a Tub for over 23 years. He also worked for the Bank of Eufaula in car repossession. His passion was working with the BBQ. On April 10, 1982, Gilbert married Janette Pratt in McIntosh County. Survivors include: his wife, Janette, of the home; his sons, Adam Gatlin and wife Julie of Scipio, Luke Gatlin and wife Claudia of El Paso, TX, and Kirk Gatlin and wife Andrea of Washington State; his daughters, Keeley Parker and husband David of Eufaula and Gata Passmore and husband Scott of Owasso; his sisters, Dr. Linda Platt of Wagoner, and Jerilyn Stewart and husband Dave of Tahlequah. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.
