Gene Willard Trunk

Gene was born on April 14, 1923 in Fergus County, Montana to Willis and Catherine (White) Trunk. He attended grades 1st- 7th at Shlesville, Arkansas and 8th grade in Wayne County TWP#3 in Wooster, Ohio. Gene graduated from Wooster High School. He married Mary Elizabeth Petty on November 30, 1941 in Paso Robles, California. In March of 1943, Gene enlisted in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in February of 1946. He worked as a pipeline field gauger for SUNOCO for 40 years, before retiring in 1988. Gene was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Center in Eufaula, Oklahoma. Survivors include: his wife, Mary, of the home; one son, Thomas D. Trunk, of Houston, TX; one daughter, Vera Brandt and husband, Wolf, of Longtown, OK; and one grandson, Eric Brandt. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Frances Jenny, Edith Jones; and two brothers, John and Willis Trunk.
