Gearlene Lois Hearod

Gearlene was born on November 4, 1939, in Stidham, Oklahoma the daughter of Carl Willard and Dona (Wisenhunt) Brackett. She attended Stidham Schools and received her GED. Gearlene was married to Virlin Dail Hearod for twenty-two years. He preceded her in death on September 23, 1976. She worked as a nurse"s aide at the Eufaula Community Hospital, and the Four Seasons Nursing Home in Tulsa. She later worked in housekeeping for Fountainhead. Gearlene was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Eufaula. Survivors include: her sons, Jerry Dail Hearod of Oklahoma City, Virlin Dwayne Hearod and wife Deena of Checotah and Jeffery Dean Hearod of Oklahoma City; her brother, Byrl Brackett of Eufaula and her sister Retha Edwards also of Eufaula; five grandchildren, Desiree Hearod, Jacqueline Hearod, Clayton Tyler Hearod, Carle Wayne Hearod and Jamie Lynn Hearod; and ten great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Willard, Dale and Sam Jr. and her sisters, Gladys Womack, Rosie James, Vera and Novice.
