Gailya Ann Davis

Gailya was born on March 21, 1938 in Shattuck, Oklahoma, to Woodrow Wilson and Pauline (Carl) Smith. In August 1955, she married James Thomas. Gailya worked as a homemaker, raising two children. On July 19, 1976, she married L.C. Davis, who preceded her in death on March 25, 1994. Gailya was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include: two daughters, Jaquetta Anthony and husband Mark of Brock, Texas and Teresa Keller and husband Trent of Edmond, her step daughter, Carol Martin and husband Nick of Pampa, Texas; her brothers, Jim Smith and Monty Smith; her sisters, Linda McCaig and Paulette Smith and her five grandchildren, Carrie, Ashli, Leah, Whitney and Rachel. Gailya is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Mike and Gary. A graveside services was held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery with Rev. J. Ingram officiating. Services were under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
