Freedom Christine Lindsay

Freedom was born on March 6, 1982 in Winfield, Kansas, the daughter of Geddes and Jory Lynn (Barkus) Lindsay. She graduated from Eufaula High School in 2000. After graduation, Freedom attended Northeastern State University. Freedom loved fishing, the outdoors, and spending time with her family. Her beautiful spirit and loving heart will be missed by her many friends and family. She was a member of the Life Church of McAlester. Survivors include: her partner, Jerry Smith, of the home; her children, Xander, Mason and Madison Smith of the Home; her stepdaughter, Heather Smith of Eufaula; her sister, Rebekka Smith of Eufaula; her father, Larry Gildhouse of Eufaula; her paternal grandmother, Millie Gildhouse and her dog, Lily. She is also survived by her aunt, Jody Morris of Rockdale, Texas, uncle, Boyd Barkus of Winfield, Kansas, aunt, Leslie Johns of Morrison, Oklahoma and aunt, Rebeca Caputo of Lenexa, Kansas. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jory Lynn Gildhouse,her maternal grandparents, Roy and Joyce Barkus and her paternal grandfather, Lester Gildhouse.
