Evelyn S. Alexander-Zachary

Evelyn was born on July 11, 1932 in Mansfield, Arkansas to John and Nellie Mae (James) Dorsey. She attended school in Mansfield, Arkansas. Evelyn was married to Hershel Alexander for over forty-five years, before he preceded her in death in 1997. She worked at the Eufaula Flower Shoppe for over forty years. Evelyn also worked as one of the very first Avon Ladies. She was later married to Kenneth Zachary for five years, before he preceded her in death in 2005. Evelyn was a member of the Faith Temple Church in Checotah, Oklahoma. Survivors include: her son, Joe Alexander, of Eufaula; one step son, Samuel Zachary, of Okmulgee; one brother, Roy Dorsey and wife, Pattie, of Cambridge, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Nellie Dorsey; one son, Allen Dale Alexander; and one brother, Joe Edward Dorsey.
