Eva Mae Rogers

July 26, 1939 — March 8, 2018

Eva Mae Rogers, 78, of Eufaula, passed away on March 8, 2018 at the St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Eva was born on July 26, 1939 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Benjamin Franklin and Lula Bell (Stubblefield) Shatswell. On December 10, 1982, she married Carl Douglas Rogers, who preceded her in death on July 16, 2008. They were happily married for almost twenty-six years. Eva loved hunting for arrowheads, playing card games or dice, and picking pecans. She enjoyed driving around the lake, looking for garage sales and antiques. She enjoyed teaching Easton how to write. Eva also liked watching westerns, Hallmark movies and spending time with her family. Survivors include: grandchildren: KelliAnn Wood and her son, Easton, of the home; Jeffrey Eckart, of OKC, OK; Bethany Eckart, of Mustang, OK; Sara Eckart and her son, Aiden, of Mustang, OK; Stephanie DeLeon and her children, Mercediez and Kevin, of Checotah, OK; Kristina DeLeon and children, Izayah, Tayde, Ayden, and Elyjah; Jessie Cox, of Florida; brothers: Sonny Shatswell and wife, Retha, of Moore, OK; Billy Shatswell and Geryl, of Norman, OK; and Donalee Shatswell and wife, Pat, of Tuttle, OK; sisters: Atha Jean Flud, of Eufaula, OK; and Georgie, of Tecumseh, OK; and step daughter, Vicki Lynn Eckart and husband, William, of Mustang, OK. She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Billy Cox in 2015.
