E.M. Odom

E.M. was born on November 9, 1933 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Elliott Perkins and Neda Wapena (Davis) Odom. He graduated from Edmond High School in 1952. E.M. served in the United States Air Force from 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1956. On December 22, 1956 E.M. married Annie Marie Volk in San Marcos, Texas. He received his Bachelor"s Degree in Industrial Education from Central State College in Edmond in 1961. They moved to Eufaula in 1974, where they started in the insurance and real estate business. E.M. and Annie were happily married for thirty-eight years, before she passed away in 1994. He later married Sarah Mae Pate on November 26, 1994, who preceded him in death on September 13, 2008. E.M. was a member of the Stigler First Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed traveling, boating, and spending time with family. Survivors include: sons: Mark Odom and wife, Shannon, of Mooresville, NC; Michael Odom, of Eufaula, OK; daughter, Dianne Stinebrickner and husband, Andy, of Eufaula, OK; brother, Charles Odom and wife, Ruth, of Point Blank, TX; sisters: Gloria Newby Branscum, of Yale, OK; Evelyn Jensen and husband, Danny, of Point Blank, TX; five grandchildren: Kristina Odom, Cody Odom, Jason Epley, Jeffrey Epley, and Charlie Epley; and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elliott and Neda Odom; his first wife, Annie Odom; and second wife, Sarah Odom.
