Elener Ingle, 94, of Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away on January 17th.
Elener was born on June 18th, 1928, to Albert and Edna Roden in Clinton, Missouri. Because she was a woman in the mid 1940s with no means, college was not an option for Elener, however she made sure that it was an option for her future granddaughters.
She worked a number of jobs to support her family, none of which particularly mattered to her. The things that truly mattered to her were spending time with her grandkids, garage sales, eating lunch at Red Lobster on special occasions, a cute outfit, and the concrete popping under her heels.
In 2009 she finally saw the ocean for the first time during a visit to New York City and while looking out onto the water she leaned over and asked, “see any naked bodies out there?” She was incredibly funny, the undeniable rock of the family, and for more than 25 straight years she ate corn flakes for breakfast every single day.
At some point, Elener met Grady Ingle and they got married. Grady passed away in 2005 and now Elener is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Ramona and Bill Wilson and Rita and Lorenzo Almendarez, her former son-in-law Hossein Bahmaie, her granddaughters Crystal Bahmaie (and her husband Christopher Uhler), Sarah Bahmaie and Amber Ingle, and her grandsons-in-law and their wives Cody and Jessica Wilson and Scotty and Genice Wilson.
There are a lot of incredible ladies out there, but Elener was one of the very best and we were lucky to have her for as long as we did.
