Edith Darlene Kollman Martin, 94, of Eufaula, passed away Saturday, January 02, 2016, at her home. Edith was born on March 11, 1921, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Frank and Dora (Barton) Kollman. She attended Welborn Elementary and graduated from the 8th grade from Roosevelt Jr. High. She grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. Edith then moved to San Francisco during World War II where she drove a ferry to Mare Island for the Army. She moved back to Kansas City and went to work at Procter and Gamble from 1947 to 1977. She was a union leader representative. Edith met and later married Thomas Martin on July 2, 1955. They moved to Eufaula, Oklahoma in 1988. Edith is survived by: her nephews, Ronnie and wife Susie Holmes and Sonnie and Arline Holmes of Kansas City, Kansas; her sisters and brothers in law, Jodie Grider of Conway, Arkansas, Bonnie Ginn and husband Doyle Ginn of Sperry, Oklahoma, Wilma Burns and husband Leon of Eufaula, Ella June Helms and husband Melvin of Eufaula, Carol McQuay and husband Leon of Sperry, Oklahoma, and Linda Martin of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is also survived by a special nephew Roger Burns and wife Regina of Eufaula, niece Angie Watkins also of Eufaula and a host of other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Martin on April 3, 2015, her father, Frank Kollman in December 1921, her mother, Dora Kollman in 1942, her brothers Oscar Kollman, Bud O"Hare, Ed O"Hare, and her sisters, Bertha Holmes and Rosie Stephens.
