Dowh Henry Davis

Dowh Henry Davis, 88, of Hanna, passed away on November 10, 2012 at his home. Dowh was born on April 15, 1924 in Cookson, Oklahoma to Ambris Lee and Virgie Bulah (Locke) Davis. He attended school in Raiford, Oklahoma. Dowh worked in the cotton gin for Western Cotton Products for nineteen and a half years. On September 6, 1947, he married Mary L. Brackett in Artussee, Oklahoma. Dowh also worked at the feed mill as a supervisor for Red River Feed for twelve and a half years. After retirement, he moved back to Hanna. Dowh enjoyed coon hunting and chicken fights. He was of the Church of Christ faith. Survivors include: four sons, Roger Dale Davis, of Hanna, OK; Arthur Jerry Davis, of Casa Grande, AZ; Roy Wayne Davis and wife, Liza, of Crest View, FL; John Wesley Davis, of Hanna, OK; two daughters, Tonya Lynn Mefford, of CO; Teana Marie Mefford, of Wichita, KS; one daughter in-law, Mary Ann Davis, of Coolidge, AZ; one brother, James Ward Davis and wife, Coriena, of Hanna, OK; two sisters, Nell Ballinger, of CA; Valder Wilson, of Fayetteville, AR; one sister in-law, Jesse Davis, of Casa Grande, AZ; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ambris and Virgie Davis; one son, Bart Lee Davis; one brother, Curtis Doyle Davis; and three sisters, Oneta Boyd; Theo-pierce Perry; and Arbelle Lane.
