Dorothy Lee Masingale

Dorothy Lee Ellsworth Masingale, 80, of Eufaula, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019, at the Eufaula Manor Nursing Home. Dorothy was born on August 19, 1939, the daughter of Johnathan Blumquist and Phyllis Mary (Roark) Ellsworth. She attended Oakland Public Schools in Oakland, California. Dorothy worked in the Data Processing Department for the Bethlehem Steel Company and Montgomery Ward. She also worked as a bookkeeper doing payroll for several businesses and as a waitress at different times. Dorothy later worked at the furniture factories in Ft. Smith, Arkansas and also as a cook at the Eufaula Manor Nursing Home and Wellington Hills Nursing Home. She often worked two or three jobs as a single mother to support her three sons. Dorothy won many trophies and awards in California and Oklahoma for being a great bowler. She always called herself "one hell of a bowler". Dorothy enjoyed crocheting and watching her soaps. She also liked to watch her neighbors. Survivors include: her sons, Charlie Bailey and wife Pam of Eufaula; Jim Ellsworth and Deana Lee of Eufaula and Billy Masingale of Checotah; sisters, Dena Jordan, of Newark, CA; and Barbara Ellsworth, of Manteca, CA; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bob Ellsworth; and sisters, Joyce Brooks and Patti Hemenway.
