Dorothy Jeanne Etchison

Dorothy Jeanne Hamilton Mealer Etchison passed away January 27, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born January 4, 1924, in Wichita, Kansas to George W. Hamilton and Vera B. Hamilton, née Taylor, she graduated from East High School, Wichita in 1941. On April 15, 1945 in Wichita she married Robert F. Mealer of Montevallo, MO, from that union three sons, G. Robert, Lee and James Allen. Dorothy married Nathan Y. Etchison of Quinton, OK. in August of 1976 in Wichita. She is survived by two of her sons, G. Robert Mealer and wife Sharon of Marthasville, MO and Lee Mealer and wife Mary Ellen of Humble, TX; stepsons, Martin E. Etchison of Broken Arrow, OK, Len Etchison and Yancy Etchison of Quinton, OK; step daughters Liz Dalberth of Webster, NY, Sue Owens of Ft. Worth, TX, Nadine Monroe of Catoosa, OK and Nancy Scott of Wilburton, OK; six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by both husbands and son James Allen Mealer.
