Donna Lee Shatswell

June 6, 1940 — April 4, 2014

Donna L. Shatswell, 73, of Eufaula, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Eufaula Manor Nursing Home. Donna was born on June 6, 1940 in Stidham, Oklahoma to Jess E. and Johny Grace (Pemberton) Redding. During high school, Donna made All Conference in basketball and track. She was considered outstanding in basketball and track. Donna graduated from Eufaula High School in 1959. After graduation, Donna went semi pro with the Red Heads. On December 15, 1962, she married C. Glen Shatswell at the First Baptist Church in Eufaula, Oklahoma. They were happily married for fifty-one years. Donna worked for John Harkey at the Five and Dime. She loved people and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Deeres Chapel Full Gospel Church. Survivors include: her husband, Glen, of the home; two sons: Cliff Shatswell and wife, Ginna of Eufaula; Ron Shatswell and wife, Bertha, of Sapulpa, Ok; and four grandchildren: C.J., Chase, Clay, and Samantha Shatswell. She is preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Minnie Maudina Wright and Anna Bell Harris and one brother Jess Redding.
