Don Robert Madden, 78, of Eufaula, OK, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019 at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Don was born on September 30, 1940, in Coalgate, Oklahoma the son of Burt Manley and Dorothy Mildred (Burns) Madden. He graduated from Liberal High School in Liberal, Kansas. He received his Associates Degree from Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton. On March 8, 1963, Don enlisted in the United States Navy. While in the Navy, he was a naval aviator completing 250 night carrier landings. He was honorably discharged in 1968. Don worked as an airline pilot and flight instructor for Frontier Airlines and America West for over 37 years. He enjoyed fishing, music and classic cars. Survivors include: his daughter, Lorenda DiGiacomo of Colorado; his brother, Jim Madden and wife, Tish of Colorado; his grandchildren, Nicholette Rose DiGiacomo and Julianna Loray DiGiacomo; his former wife, Bertie Lou Madden and his nieces, Ashlee Falivene and Deb Brannon all of Colorado. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Scott Madden. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 17 at 9:00am at The Ralston Crossing Event Center (Little White Chapel) located at 7400 Indiana St., Arvada, CO 80007, followed by a service at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO.
