Don Olan Pearce

December 3, 1942 — February 20, 2019

Don was born on December 3, 1942, in Eufaula, Oklahoma the son of Rolan Clifford and Ruby Lilly (McQuay) Pearce. He attended both Canadian and Eufaula public schools. On May 2, 1964, Don married Sharon Shelton in Stigler, Oklahoma. They raised their children in Coweta, OK. He was a cement finisher by trade, an avid outdoorsman where he found great joy in hunting and fishing. He loved his Blue Tick Hounds fighting roosters where he was aka "Chicken Red" or Red. He loved deer hunting and crappie fishing, quail hunting, coon hunting and rabbit hunting with his beagles. He enjoyed elk hunts with his cousin Noel. He loved his grandkids and adored his great grandkids. Survivors include: his wife, Sharon, of the home; his sons, Marty Pearce and wife Donna of Haskell and Stacey Pearce and wife Tonya, of Coweta; his daughters, Deirdre Longoria and husband Anthony of Coweta and Tanya Powell also of Coweta; his grandchildren, Keisha Rathbone and husband Tommy, Lindsey Garrison and husband Wilson, Jake Pearce and wife Nicole, Ashley Bomboy and husband Daniel, Dexter Powell, Brittnee Powell; his great grandchildren, Chase and Emma Bomboy, Rylan and Scarlett Pearce, Olan, Alton and Elan Garrison, Chloe Hathcoat, Paige Rathbone; his brother Hoyl Pearce and wife Judy of Longtown; sisters, Betty Eldridge of California and Kathy Polansky and husband Ed of Longtown; a special cousin, Noel Carruthers of Sperry and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Clifford and Boyd, a grandson, Jason Pearce and a granddaughter, Jonna Hathcoat.
