Don Edward Murray

Don was born on November 26, 1936 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Orin Delbert and Mady Lee (Johnson) Murray. He married Marilyn Joyce Garrison on July 14, 1954, who preceded him in death in 2007. Marilyn and Don were divorced in 1974. Don graduated from Bethany High School in 1955. He loved "super stock" stock car racing. Don held the track speed record in Oklahoma City for three consecutive years. He worked as the auto technician service manager for General Motors. Survivors include: his companion for the past eight years, Sheryl Hough; sons: Don Edward Murray, Jr, of Eufaula, OK; Michael Don Murray; Timothy Orin Murray, both of Hinton, OK; daughter, LaDeana Moore, of Broken Arrow, OK; brothers: Ronnie Murray, of Oklahoma City, OK; Mike Murray, of Lawton, OK; sister, LaDonna Moore, of Wellington, TX fourteen grandchildren; and twenty-five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son; and one daughter.
