Dolores Ann Chaffin

Dolores Ann Chaffin, 92, of Eufaula, OK, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023, in Wagoner, OK. Dolores was born on April 8, 1931, to Walter Andrew and Amy Mae (Davis) Jackson, in Joplin, MO. In 1949, she graduated high school in Pasadena, TX. Dolores married Charles Douglas in 1951, in Joplin, MO, and the two were married for thirty five years. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Oklahoma Baptist University. Dolores then went on to receive her Master's Degree from Oklahoma City University. In 1955, she started working for Oklahoma Natural Gas, and retired after thirty one years in 1986. On April 23, 1994, Dolores married Bill Chaffin in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They were happily married for twenty-nine years and celebrated the day before she passed. She also worked at Corporation Commission in Tulsa for six years. Dolores was a member of the Lake Eufaula Christian Church. She enjoyed shopping, quilting, and sewing. Dolores was also a member of the Quilting Guild and women's bible study groups.

Dolores is survived by her husband Bill Chaffin, of the home; daughter, Melanie Gaye Hunter of Fort Worth, TX; her step-children: Patricia Wisehart, of Guthrie, OK; Billy Chaffin, Jr., of Eufaula, OK; and Stephanie Brock-Farrington, of Port Hadlock, WA; grandson, Trace Hunter of Frisco, TX; step grandchildren: Chris Brock-Farrington, of Oklahoma City, OK; Matthew Brock-Farrington, of Chimiacum, WA; Micah Brock-Farrington, of Oklahoma City, OK; Whitney Brock-Farrington, of Port Hadlock, WA, Kallan Brock-Farrington of Port Hadlock, WA; Kara Brock-Farrington of Port Hadlock, WA; and Bria Chaffin; step great grandchildren: Alex Brock-Farrington, Adeline Brock-Farrington, Sawyer Brock-Farrington, and Georgia May Brock-Farrington. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Amy Jackson; sister, Carolyn Jackson; and grandson, Kyle Hunter in 2012.
