D.L. Mckeefer

D.L. McKeefer Jr., 79, of Eufaula, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at his home. He was born on October 21, 1941, in Killeen, Texas, the son of D.L., Sr. and Leona Mack (Taylor) McKeefer. He attended Killeen Schools. In 1961, D.L. married Collene Tucker. To this union, three children were born. They were happily married for twenty-five years when she preceded him in death in 1986. He worked as a 798 welder and was a member of the 798 Pipeline Local Union for fifty-five years. On August 25, 2001, after dating for 14 years, D.L. married Jody Carson in Hanna. D.L. loved spending time with his family, working, golfing and fishing. He was a member of the Stidham Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Jody, of the home; his son, Dusty McKeefer and wife Starla of Eufaula, OK; his daughters, Darla Maxwell and husband Quentin of Lebanon, MO and Lori McKeefer of Eufaula, OK; his brother, Richard McKeefer and wife Barbara of Eufaula, OK; his grandkids, Amanda, Evan, Special, Kristin, Tierra, Nekoda, Savanna, and Melissa; and his ten great grandkids. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Collene, and two brothers, Pete and Ronnie.
